I was commissioned by the author’s daughter to illustrate this autobiographical account of Elia Richetti’s childhood, an important rabbi in Milan. Based on descriptions of his former home, I recreated the atmosphere of the 1950s – 1960s, and I took inspiration from old pictures to bring young Elia back to life.
